Cohen Seglias has a longstanding tradition of active involvement in the community. In addition to participation in numerous professional and trade associations, our attorneys and staff engage in a variety of civic, social, charitable, and educational activities in the communities in which they live and work. Many of our attorneys chair committees and sit on boards of directors of organizations that benefit children, young students and the elderly.
The Firm shares Habitat for Humanity’s mission to build safe, sustainable and affordable homes to help families in need help themselves. We are proud to support Habitat with an annual commitment of $10,000 and two volunteer build days when Cohen Seglias attorneys, staff and clients work together to help families achieve the dream of homeownership.
During the holiday season, the Firm collects toys and donations benefiting disadvantaged children through organizations such as the Support Center for Child Advocates, Toys for Tots and the Allegheny County Department of Human Services holiday project. This holiday drive involves virtually all of Cohen Seglias' staff and their families and friends. Among the many charitable events the Firm supports and actively participates in throughout the year are the American Cancer Society’s annual Bike-A-Thon, the Bike MS: City to Shore Ride, and the National Denim Day which supports breast cancer research.
While Cohen Seglias is dedicated to providing the highest quality legal service to its clients, we also believe strongly in the value of civic and community engagement. We make every effort to encourage our attorneys and staff to get involved in their communities and to actively give back. In this spirit, our attorneys provide pro bono legal services through the Philadelphia Volunteers for the Indigent Program and the Delaware Office of the Child Advocate.
