History

Cohen Seglias Pallas Greenhall & Furman PC was founded in 1988 by Firm President Roy S. Cohen with the establishment of a three-attorney office in Philadelphia that focused in construction law and transactional corporate work. As the Firm grew, a commercial litigation group and business practice group were established to handle real estate, tax, and trust and estate issues.

Firm Founder and Shareholder Roy Cohen and Secretary and Shareholder John GreenhallIn the interest of becoming more of a full-service resource to its growing client base, in 2002, Cohen Seglias merged with Rothenberg Silverman & Furman, PC, a 50-year-old law firm whose practice was limited to labor and employment matters. The merger enabled the Firm to complement its excellence in construction-related and other commercial matters with a nationally recognized Labor & Employment Group and to expand its scope of services to include legal advice on all aspects of the employer and employee relationship. Following the merger, the Firm added offices in Pittsburgh, Wilmington, and Harrisburg to accommodate its growth in those areas.

Today Cohen Seglias has more than 60 lawyers with offices in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Delaware, Maryland, District of Columbia and West Virginia. As a regionally based Firm, we are equipped to handle matters in most jurisdictions around the country. Notwithstanding our growth in recent years, the Firm's partners remain committed to a high standard of service and personal attention to all client matters. With close involvement and direct availability, combined with a team approach and lean staffing, we are able to provide cost effective and efficient legal services without compromising quality. It is this combination - top legal advice and superior service delivery - that we believe is the hallmark of an excellent law firm.
