Cohen Seglias Starts 2014 with Strategic Promotions

Press Release - February 10, 2014

The Philadelphia Office Promotes Key Firm Talent

Philadelphia – February 10, 2014 – Cohen Seglias Pallas Greenhall & Furman PC is pleased to announce that Jennifer M. Horn has been promoted to Partner and Jeffrey Brydzinski has been made Senior Counsel. Both are based in the Construction Group of the Firm’s Philadelphia office.

“This firm’s strength is directly attributable to the quality and character of our people,” said Jason Copley, Managing Partner of Cohen Seglias. “Jennifer exemplifies the core values of our firm, she provides superior counsel to her clients, and solves complex problems in a results-oriented, creative manner that utilizes her legal skills and business acumen.”

A trial attorney who focuses her practice in the areas of construction, commercial litigation, and real estate, Jennifer has spearheaded numerous successes in multiple state and federal jurisdictions most notably a recovery on a multi-million dollar prison project claim and an injunction on behalf of a federal contracting client. A skilled litigator, Jennifer’s extensive experience in drafting and negotiating complex contracts on behalf of owners, construction managers, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and design professionals in the public and private sectors enables her transactional practice to thrive.

Admitted to practice law in Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and District of Columbia, Jennifer is a frequent speaker and teacher at construction industry events and serves as Managing Editor of the Firm's construction blog.  Ms. Horn is Past President of the National Association of Women in Construction’s Philadelphia Chapter, and active in numerous professional organizations, including the Maryland Building Congress Exchange, Construction Section of the Maryland State Bar Association, and the South Central Architectural, Engineering and Construction Network.

“In recognition of his hard work and achievements in our construction and commercial litigation practice, we have promoted Jeff Brydzinski to Senior Counsel,” said Jason Copley. “Jeff’s talents in so many different areas of the law, from commercial and construction litigation, to transactional law, to mass tort litigation, together make Jeff a valuable member of our team.”

As Senior Counsel, Mr. Brydzinski maintains a practice concentrating on complex commercial matters and construction law claims on behalf of owners, contractors, design-builders, subcontractors, suppliers and manufacturers in multiple jurisdictions.  Although Mr. Brydzinski is well-known for his work on several multi-million dollars projects—including Lincoln Financial Field and Citizens Bank Park—and for his defense of more than 20,000 tort claims, his extensive transactional experience drafting and negotiating engineering-procurement-construction agreements, business entity, structure and management agreements, waivers and releases, and other business contracts for major industrial, commercial, and individual clients is equally impressive.

“We heartily congratulate Jennifer and Jeff, whose promotions reflect their achievement of the highest levels of professional accomplishment and client service,” said Jason Copley, Managing Partner. “With a spectacular 25th year anniversary in 2013, the firm is off to a great start in 2014.”
