KATE EMERT GLEASON is an Associate in the Firm’s Construction Group and concentrates her practice in construction litigation. Kate has experience assisting contractors, subcontractors, design professionals, and owners for both private and public projects with research and preparation of motions and briefs in various construction-related matters.

In regards to Title IX, Kate assists in conducting internal investigations into allegations of sexual misconduct, discrimination, harassment and other acts of misconduct at institutions of higher education.

Prior to joining Cohen Seglias and attending law school, Kate was a litigation paralegal at the firm Paul, Weiss in New York City. While at Temple University Beasley School of Law, Kate was a comment editor for the International and Comparative Law Journal and was a Fellow of the Rubin Public Interest Law Honor Society. During law school, Kate focused on public interest law, working for Philadelphia Legal Assistance and Temple Legal Aid. Kate also worked with Community Legal Services through Temple’s Sheller Center for Social Justice, assisting in the development of Philadelphia’s Wage Theft Ordinance.
