GEORGE E. PALLAS is the Treasurer of Cohen Seglias Pallas Greenhall & Furman PC as well as a Shareholder and member of the Board of Directors. He is also a Partner with the Firm’s Construction Group.
George acts as counsel to a wide range of construction clients that include general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers on both public and private projects. George has handled matters involving commercial, industrial, institutional and residential construction, heavy and highway, water supply and treatment, solid hazardous waste, school and various other multi-prime projects.
For the past 20 years, George has handled cases at both the state and federal levels in a multitude of jurisdictions, including Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and Delaware. He has argued cases at the state and federal appellate levels in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as well as before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
Since 1997 George has been counsel to the Building Contractors Association of South Jersey and the Building Contractors Association of Atlantic County. He is a member of the Associated General Contractors of New Jersey and Associated General Contractors of New York State, the Mechanical Contractors Association of New York and the New York Building Contractors Association. In 2004, he was appointed construction counsel to Associated Builders and Contractors of New Jersey. He was counsel to the South Jersey Mechanical Contractors Association from 1997 to 2004, and served on their board. In 2004, he was appointed special counsel to the board of directors of the Building Contractors Association of South Jersey. In 2007, he was appointed as a national neutral arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association. George is a frequent speaker at various trade organizations on all aspects of construction litigation.
