MANNING J. “JIM” O’CONNOR II is the Managing Partner of Cohen Seglias Pallas Greenhall & Furman’s Pittsburgh office. He is also a member of the Firm’s Commercial Litigation Group. Jim handles a full range of complex commercial litigation matters with a special emphasis on employment law and healthcare litigation. He has extensive experience representing businesses in cases involving breach of contract, harassment, non-compete agreements, trade secrets and other matters.

Over the past 15 years, Jim has negotiated a number of contracts for media personalities and other celebrities.  Jim also devotes a portion of his practice to healthcare litigation, mostly on behalf of hospitals.  This representation includes a wide variety of matters, including physician contract disputes, regulatory and patient care matters, licensing, insurance disputes and corporate compliance. 

Jim speaks regularly at seminars and conferences on the topics of trial evidence, as well as employment and commercial litigation.   He is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association, and serves as Executive Counsel and member of the board of directors for Business Growth Alliance, LLC. Additionally, he is a member of the Adjunct Faculty at Duquesne University School of Law.
