Rene focuses his practice on construction litigation and construction law, with an emphasis on the prosecution and defense of multi-state delay, disruption, and acceleration claims, payment and performance bond claims, mechanics’ lien claims, design professional claims, and design and construction contract preparation, review, and negotiation. He represents contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, owners, sureties, and design professionals. Rene also served as special counsel to a firm client, an internationally-recognized pharmaceutical and biotech design-build company.
Prior to joining Cohen Seglias, and in addition to his experience at other, mid-size construction law firms, Rene worked with one of the world’s preeminent architectural firms, as well as one of the world’s largest nuclear design firms, bringing real-world experience to his practice of law.
