STEVEN D. USDIN is a Partner in the Firm's Business Practice Group. Mr. Usdin concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial and personal bankruptcy, general corporate and transactional matters and commercial litigation. He has appeared on behalf of Debtors, Creditors and Equity Security Holders' Committees, and Secured Creditors in a variety of proceedings at the Trial and Appellate levels in State and Federal Courts.

Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Usdin worked for over twenty years in the Philadelphia region for a mid-sized bankruptcy boutique firm. Prior to that he served as an Assistant District Attorney in New York City and as a Special Assistant Attorney General for New York State.

Mr. Usdin also served as a Law Clerk to the Chief Judge of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Usdin is a member of the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, New York and American Bar Associations as well as, the Turnaround Management Association, American Bankruptcy Institute, and has served in various capacities with the Eastern District of Pennsylvania Bankruptcy Conference. He frequently lectures and writes on topics of interest in his areas of expertise. He has been a trustee and director for several charitable organizations including the Sherbekow Foundation and CADE - Helping Children Make Better Decisions.

Mr. Usdin has been named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer in the field of Bankruptcy by Law & Politics in 2008 and 2009, and has also been included in the 25th anniversary edition of the The Best Lawyers in America® as well as their 2010 edition.

In 2009, Mr. Usdin was named as a "Leader in Law" in the Philadelphia Business Journal.
