CRAIG SCHROEDER is a member of the Federal Construction Practice Group at Cohen Seglias Pallas Greenhall & Furman PC. His practice is focused on representing contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers in all aspects of federal contracting and construction law generally. His efforts have included interpretation of contract provisions, filing of protests, and the litigation and settlement of contract claims and appeals. He has represented contractors on various projects, including military and civil works construction, dredging, hazardous waste remediation, and federal supply contracts. Mr. Schroeder also has experience in, among other areas, insurance, real estate, collections, finance and securities.
His recent achievements include:
• Successfully mediated settlement in excess of $100,000 on behalf of property owner against contractor, subcontractor and product manufacturer.
• Won state court arbitration on behalf of plaintiff concerning residential real estate dispute.
• Negotiated and settled fraud action on behalf of plaintiffs relating to real estate purchase from defendant.
• Negotiated and settled federal bad-faith health insurance action on behalf of a major national health insurance company.
• Negotiated and settled numerous contract disputes on behalf of major financial services firm against its former financial consultants.
Prior to joining Cohen Seglias, Mr. Schroeder worked at a medium-sized Philadelphia firm concentrating in complex commercial litigation.
Mr. Schroeder is a member of the American Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Philadelphia Bar Association. Mr. Schroeder is fluent in Spanish and is currently studying Portuguese.
Mr. Schroeder has also studied business and entrepreneurship at Georgetown University. In addition, Mr. Schroeder has traveled extensively in pursuit of understanding other cultures and legal systems, including throughout China, South Africa and Cuba.
