In 1988, firm president Roy S. Cohen formed the foundation of Cohen Seglias Pallas Greenhall & Furman PC with the establishment of a three-attorney office in Philadelphia that specialized in construction law and transactional corporate work. As time went on, the Firm added a commercial litigation practice.

In 2000, the Firm established a Business Practice Group to handle real estate, tax, and trust and estate issues for the Firm's construction as well as to expand the Firm's opportunities to serve other commercial clients and individuals. The Firm's Business Practice Group currently represents commercial clients from all sectors of the business community.

In 2002, in the interest of becoming more of a full-service resource to its growing client base, Cohen Seglias merged with Rothenberg Silverman & Furman, PC, a 50-year-old law firm specializing in labor and employment matters. The merger enabled the Firm to complement its excellence in construction-related and other commercial matters with a nationally recognized Labor & Employment Group and to expand its scope of services to include legal advice on all aspects of the employer and employee relationship. Following the merger, the Firm added offices in Pittsburgh; Harrisburg; Morgantown, West Virginia; and Wilmington, Delaware, to accommodate its growth in those areas.

Today Cohen Seglias has more than 50 lawyers with offices in Delaware, New Jersey, and West Virginia. While we are essentially a regional firm, we can handle matters in most jurisdictions around the country. Notwithstanding our growth in recent years, the Firm's partners remain committed to a high standard of service and personal attention to all client matters. With close involvement and direct availability, combined with a team approach and lean staffing, we are able to provide cost effective and efficient legal services without compromising quality.
