Law360, Philadelphia (June 12, 2017, 7:00 PM EDT) -- A panel of Pennsylvania judicial ethics investigators said Friday that a delayed complaint against a Washington County judge over his allegedly improper handling of a criminal case against a local mayor did not warrant dismissal of their charges.

Magisterial District Judge Mark Wilson has argued that his ethics case should be tossed, given that Mayor Bob Kepics waited four months to submit a June 2013 report of alleged misconduct in the judge’s handling of a private criminal complaint over an unpaid loan.

But the Judicial Conduct Board, which is responsible for prosecuting ethics cases against Pennsylvania judges, fired back on Friday that it had a four-year window in which to pursue investigations over purported misconduct. Continue Reading...
