Tri-State HRMA 30th Annual Conference: Popcorn and Employment Law: HR Lessons from the Movies and Television

May 05, 2016 - Mt. Laurel, NJ

On May 5, 2016, please join Jon Landesman and Evan Blaker for their seminar, "Popcorn and Employment Law:  HR Lessons from the Movies and Television," at the Tri-State Human Resource Management Association (HRMA) 30th Annual Conference in Mt. Laurel, NJ.

A good employment law case is a lot like good theater. Indeed, Jon and Evan regularly deal with situations filled with drama, an outrageous cast of characters, love triangles, acts of violence, and hard-to-believe plot twists.

In this face-paced and interactive presentation, they will review short clips from some of their favorite movies and television shows and analyze them from an employment lawyer’s perspective.

This presentation will cover a wide variety of substantive areas, including hostile work environment claims, workplace violence, unfair competition and trade secrets, and disparate treatment on the basis of gender, race, and national origin.
