Maria Panichelli is receiving the Give Me 5 Award at the Women Impacting Public Policy’s 2014 Annual Leadership Meeting held in Washington, D.C., July 23-24. The Give Me 5 Program was created by WIPP and American Express OPEN in order to educate women business owners about the Federal Government’s Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) Procurement Program. GiveMe5 works with agencies and government officials to increase access to contracts for women entrepreneurs and partners with various WOSB experts in order to increase awareness and assist WOSBs with certification.
Each year, GiveMe5 recognizes a member who has demonstrated a thorough knowledge of the program and a commitment to assisting WOSBs in procurement-related matters. Maria was chosen for this award based on her work creating and presenting numerous webinars concerning WOSB issues as well as assisting WIPP and GiveMe5 members in achieving and maintaining WOSB status.
