MATTHEW R. SKAROFF is an Associate in the Firm's Construction Group and concentrates his practice in construction litigation. Matthew’s practice includes the representation of contractors, subcontractors, design professionals, owners, and other parties in relation to private and public construction projects.  Matthew also has substantial experience in domestic and international transactional work, business formation and structuring, and in matters related to intellectual property, namely trademarks and trade secrets.

Prior to joining Cohen Seglias, Matthew was an attorney at a boutique Philadelphia law firm, where he engaged in transactional work and commercial litigation throughout the United States. Matthew also completed a judicial externship with the Honorable Mary Pat Thygne in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware.

During law school, Matthew served as Articles Editor for the Villanova Law Review and received the Stephen P. Frankino Award for Outstanding Service to the Law Review. Matthew also received the ABA/BNA Award for Excellence in the Study of Intellectual Property and the Dorothy Day Pro Bono Award for legal work performed for the poor and disenfranchised.
