Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs) are becoming more common as the Department of Defense (DoD) looks to modernize and streamline the procurement process. In this two-part webinar series, Partners Tim Furin and Maria Panichelli will review OTAs and provide contractors with the information they need to prepare themselves for the changing landscape of DoD procurement.

Part One: A Basic Overview

In Part One, Tim and Maria will discuss the basics of OTAs, including a general overview of “other transaction” authorities and the current state of the law. They will also provide information on where the government is advertising OTA opportunities (OT solicitation methods) and how interested commercial entities can determine if they are eligible to participate. Finally, the presenters will discuss follow-on production authorities and provide contractors with best practices tips for participating in OTAs.

Part Two: Formation and Administration, From White Paper to Production

In Part Two, Tim and Maria will discuss OT formation and administration. Topics covered will include publication, negotiation, terms and conditions, modifications, disputes, and terminations/cancellations of OTAs. They will also review the most current case law surrounding OTAs and provide best practices tips for contractors.
