Subcontracting on federal jobs can be confusing. Key concepts such as payment, disputes, changes, and terminations are ruled by a complex web of strict regulations. If a contractor fails to understand these regulations, the consequences can be disastrous.
In this practical webinar, Maria Panichelli discussed how to navigate this regulatory web and protect a contractor’s interest when drafting or negotiating federal government subcontracts. Both the prime and subcontractor’s points of view was discussed.
Upon course completion, you will be able to:
- Understand “flow down” provisions
- Distinguish between mandatory and suggested flow down provisions
- Identify key clauses and concepts that should be discussed when negotiating Federal subcontracts
- Differentiate between claims between primes and subs, sub-claims against owners, and Miller Act claims
