On every new project, you may hope that there will be no need to submit a claim. Despite that optimism, construction claims can be unavoidable. Claims can include delay, disputed extra work, acceleration, inefficiency, or any other cost or time impact to which you may be entitled. When faced with circumstances that require you to pursue a claim, the process does not have to be daunting or overwhelming, especially when you follow a few key mantras on every project: preservation, preparation, and presentation.
In this seminar, Dan Fierstein and Matt Gioffre demystified the construction claims process and provided attendees with strategies to preserve, prepare, and present claims. Attendees learned skills and best practices to ensure they are not waiving their rights, that they are creating the documentation necessary to support the claims, and they are presenting claims in a manner that maximizes their chances of success.
