Matthew concentrates his practice in construction litigation, handling complex multi-million dollar disputes for both private and public projects. He primarily represents specialty subcontractors, general contractors, and developers while also serving public owners, design professionals, and suppliers. Throughout his career, Matthew has consistently achieved successful results for his clients.
Matthew exemplifies the next generation of leadership at the firm. Since relocating from Philadelphia to Fort Lauderdale, he has been instrumental in establishing the firm’s Florida office, providing comprehensive construction law services and other legal representation statewide.
Matthew has litigated and arbitrated cases nationwide and is actively involved in various construction trade organizations, including the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), where he has participated in the development of institute initiatives as well as the Code of Standard Practice for Steel Buildings and Bridges. Matthew frequently speaks and presents at conferences regarding construction-related legal issues, including AISC’s North American Steel Construction Conference, where he has been a regular presenter since 2020.
Committed to furthering legal developments in the construction industry, Matthew is a member of the Construction Law Committee of the Real Property, Probate, and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar and its Construction Litigation Subcommittee.
During law school, Matthew served as the articles editor for the Villanova Law Review, earning accolades including the Stephen P. Frankino Award for Outstanding Service to the Law Review, the ABA/BNA Award for Excellence in the Study of Intellectual Property, and the Dorothy Day Pro Bono Award. He also gained valuable experience working in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware and the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.
