Overview

Chris advises businesses and nonprofits on business formation, corporate governance and commercial transactions. He drafts and negotiates purchase and sale agreements for assets, stocks and real estate, as well as documents for mergers and acquisitions of all sizes. Chris also helps financial institutions including banks and other lenders with all aspects of the commercial lending process.

Additionally, Chris counsels companies in data privacy and cybersecurity matters. He routinely helps clients manage privacy and security measures and works with them to stay compliant on a federal and state level.

Chris offers clients an in-house perspective on legal issues, as he was a legal consultant for a California-based biopharmaceutical startup. His work included drafting and negotiating clinical trial agreements, master service agreements, CCPA and GDPR data processing addendums, and joint controller agreements with company clients, service providers, clinical sites, CMOs and CROs. Chris was responsible for writing and implementing policies addressing data privacy, storage and processing.
