Matthew J. Hentz focuses his practice on construction litigation. He represents owners, general contractors and subcontractors in all aspects of business disputes, including matters of general liability and construction-related litigation issues.
Matthew previously served as a judicial extern for Magistrate Judge Elizabeth Hey of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Matthew spent a summer at Cohen Seglias working as a Summer Associate and previously worked as a Summer Law Clerk, conducting legal research and drafting memoranda in the areas of civil litigation, contract law, and estates.
Before practicing construction law full-time, Matthew taught history and U.S. politics and government. His academic and teaching background sharpened his research, writing, and analytical skills, which he now applies to complex legal issues. His experience also gives him a unique perspective and strong communication abilities that enhance his effectiveness as an attorney.
During law School, Matthew served as Articles Editor for the Villanova Law Review and worked as a teaching assistant.
