AAML CLE Webinar – It’s Complicated: Dealing with Crypto Assets and Carried Interest Matters in a Divorce
Join the American Academy of Matrimonial Leaders for this CLE Webinar presented by Alex Pron and Heather Tullar, moderated by AAML Fellow and partner at our Family Law division, Sean Gaynor.
This course, co-offered by Crossover Capital and Valuation Research Corporation (VRC), delves into complicated topics that AAML attorneys are running across more frequently in recent years: crypto assets and carried interest.
Alex Pron from Crossover Capital will highlight their crypto resources geared specifically to family law attorneys dealing with crypto assets in divorce. The webinar examines bitcoin as a long-term store of value asset, pushing back on the narrative that bitcoin’s valuation is “speculative.”
Heather Tullar of VRC will then review the private equity landscape and the concept of carried interest. Then, there will be a review of a case study to help conceptualize the various moving parts. Additionally, there will be a review of pertinent case law to help prepare you for your next carried interest divorce case.
