- A $10,000,000 church bond offering, representing the bond issuer.
- A $22,000,000 acquisition loan to a mixed-use developer, representing the developer.
- A $135,000,000 construction project for the development of several properties, representing the property owner in the negotiation of construction contracts.
- A $13,500,000 hotel property acquisition financing, representing the lender.
- A $8,000,000 letter of credit facility financing for a chapter 11 bankruptcy debtor, representing the lender.
- A $23,000,000 mobile home park property, representing the seller.
Clients of all sizes turn to Cheryl for their real estate, lending, and transactional needs. With experience as both an in-house attorney and outside general counsel, she is keenly aware of the problems facing her clients and provides them with practical, results-oriented advice to advance their business.
Cheryl offers a wide range of services to clients involving the finance, acquisition, sale, lease, and development of commercial real estate. She regularly negotiates complex ground leases, including shopping center and office leases. Cheryl also assists clients with title matters and drafts various real estate related agreements including access easements. She has developed a varied lending practice representing lenders in commercial loans, workouts, and the purchase and sale of loans. Clients also look to Cheryl for advice on loan participations and regularly negotiates the terms of loan participation agreements.
In addition to her real estate and lending practices, Cheryl serves as outside general counsel to clients in a variety of industries, helping them navigate their day-to-day operations. She has significant experience negotiating sophisticated corporate contracts and vendor agreements and regularly represents business clients in complex sales and acquisitions.
Cheryl is an active member of the Delaware community and currently serves as managing partner of the firm’s Wilmington office.
