Daniel concentrates his practice on construction and commercial litigation and arbitration. He represents contractors, subcontractors, design professionals, owners, and other stakeholders across a wide range of public and private projects. He advocates for clients in both court and arbitral forums, handling complex disputes such as cost overruns, delays, product and design defects, and unforeseen site conditions. His experience spans domestic and international matters, and he is committed to delivering strategic solutions tailored to each client’s business needs.
Before joining the firm, Daniel practiced in Colombia, where he represented clients in domestic litigation and arbitration disputes related to public-private partnerships for transportation systems and toll roads, as well as mining concession agreements. He later gained experience in international arbitration in the United States, focusing on investor-state and commercial disputes involving public infrastructure projects in Latin America. He has participated in proceedings before major arbitral institutions, including the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID).
While earning his J.D./LL.M. in International Arbitration at the University of Miami School of Law, Daniel represented the university in the 2025 Moot Madrid competition, served as a teaching assistant for the Legal Communication and Writing course, and interned for the Honorable Judge Migna Sanchez-Llorens in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida, Civil Division. He earned several distinctions, including CALI Excellence for the Future Awards, and received the Order of Barristers for his outstanding advocacy skills. He is an active member of the Miami International Arbitration Society and the American Bar Association’s Forum on Construction Law.
