Gary concentrates his practice in construction litigation, representing contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers, design professionals, construction managers, and owners on both private and public construction projects in various construction-related matters.
Gary has experience in litigating payment disputes, mechanic’s lien foreclosures, and trust fund diversion cases. He also handles arbitrations, mediations, and settlement negotiations for his clients, and regularly appears in state and federal courts. Gary is also experienced in taking and defending depositions and efficiently navigates the discovery process toward trial.
Prior to joining Cohen Seglias, Gary served as a judicial intern for The Honorable Mae A. D’Agostino in the United States District Court, Northern District of New York. In addition, he interned for the City of Cohoes, New York where he drafted comprehensive green infrastructure regulations that were subsequently incorporated into the City’s Zoning Code. Gary has also completed mediation training certified by the New York State Unified Court System’s Office of Alternative Dispute Resolution.
While in law school, Gary was the Editor-in-Chief of the Albany Law Journal of Science and Technology.
