Marian serves as a trusted business advisor to clients of all sizes, counseling them through the stages of the corporate lifecycle. He spent the first 15 years of his career as a commercial litigator before evolving into a transactional attorney and this background provides him with invaluable insight into transactions, how they may go wrong, and what is truly important. As Chair of the firm’s Business Transactions Group, Marian uses this perspective, paired with his diverse experience and creativity in negotiations to ensure his clients’ success.
Businesses rely on him to handle their financing matters, including the preparation and negotiation of loan documents, workouts, and creditor and debtor issues. Clients also turn to Marian for assistance with other corporate matters such as negotiating and drafting governance documents, the formation of entities, the purchase and sale of businesses, including third party and intergenerational transfers, and business litigation. He works closely with the firm’s Construction Group to counsel clients on day-to-day business issues with a focus on business succession planning and generational planning.
Marian has an active real estate practice representing clients in a wide variety of transactional and real estate matters. He regularly counsels clients through the acquisition, sale, and leasing of real estate and represents title companies, underwriters, and insureds in title matters. Marian also prepares documents for condominium, planned communities, and other common interest communities and counsels condominium associations.
