- Draft complaints, answers and both procedural and dispositive motions in construction and government contracts litigation matters.
- Manage all phases of discovery, including drafting written discovery, document review and the production process.
- Counsel clients throughout government investigations and audits by preparing document productions, assisting with interview preparation and advising clients during agency proceedings.
- Prepare demand letters and responses and engage in settlement discussions with opposing counsel in clients’ informal contractual disputes.
- Advise small business clients on strategic partnerships and transactional matters, including reviewing subcontracts, joint venture agreements, mentor-protégé agreements, teaming agreements and mutual non-disclosure agreements.
- Counsel clients through bid protests submitted at the Government Accountability Office (GAO) and state agencies, including preparing protest documents and responding to dispositive motions.
- Support clients responding to allegations of research misconduct involving federally funded research programs.
Natalie Real’s capabilities span various practices, including Government Contracting, Internal Investigations and Research Misconduct. This versatility will immensely help her grow her practice for years to come.
Before joining the team, Natalie worked at the Council of the District of Columbia as a Legislative Law Fellow, where she drafted legislation and participated in legal research and analysis for the drafting of persuasive memoranda. She also worked as a Legal Assistant in West Palm Beach, Florida. There, Natalie drafted and filed pleadings and motions within multiple circuit courts throughout south Florida.
A graduate of The George Washington Law School, Natalie graduated with honors and was part of the George Washington International Law Review. She is a native Spanish speaker and being bilingual helps her communicate effectively with a wider range of clients and colleagues.
