On January 25, President Biden issued an executive order, “Ensuring the Future is Made in All of America by All of America’s Workers,” to bolster American domestic manufacturing by having the federal government buy more goods produced in the United States. Among other actions, the order directs regulators to tighten the definition of American-made products and creates a position in the Office of Management and Budget to oversee stepped-up purchases of domestic goods.
In this webinar, Ed Seglias, Lane Kelman, and Jackson Nichols will discuss the many facets and practical implications of the executive order. They will explore how both the Buy American and Buy America Acts are impacted by this executive order and review the differences between the two. The presenters will also warn contractors of the consequences of not complying with the order.
