Performing government contracts can be tricky for small businesses, especially when subcontracting is involved. We will explain how to successfully navigate the often confusing performance of work requirements and limitations on subcontracting, and separate the facts from the myths that help create this confusion. We will walk attendees through recently changed subcontracting limitations rules, explaining how to calculate self-performance requirements on set-aside contracts. Attendees will also learn about the “Similarly Situated Entity” carve-out, and the potential issues it raises, as well as selecting subcontract NAICs codes. We will include real world examples, including a discussion of precedent setting legal decisions and the risks and consequences of non-compliance.
