Cohen Seglias partner Cherylyn Harley LeBon discussed her move to the firm and her goals for the Government Contracting Group in an interview with Law360 Pulse. Based in the Washington, DC, office, Cherylyn brings more than 25 years of experience working both inside and outside the government. She noted that Cohen Seglias’ strong construction reputation and full-service platform were major draws, stating, “[Their experience] in the construction industry at the federal and state and local level with government contracts really was a strong attraction for me.” Cherylyn previously served as senior counsel to the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee and held presidential appointments at the U.S. Small Business Administration and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, helping companies navigate federal contracting processes. Firm leadership emphasized that her background strengthens the growing DC office.
Cohen Seglias Pallas Greenhall & Furman PC has found the cochair of its government contracting group in a Womble Bond Dickinson attorney with over 25 years of experience working both outside and inside the government. Cherylyn Harley LeBon joined the firm on Tuesday as a partner and is based in Cohen Seglias’ Washington, DC, office, she confirmed to Law360 Pulse in a Friday interview. She joins from Womble Bond, where she was a partner in that firm’s government contracts and cross-border trade practice for nearly two years.
LeBon told Law360 Pulse that she was drawn to Cohen Seglias because of the firm’s reputation in the construction industry, in addition to it being a one-stop shop for matters related to litigation, construction, practice, labor and employment, trademark, and more. “Their expertise in the construction industry at the federal and state and local level with government contracts really was a strong attraction for me,” LeBon said. “The fact that I am cochairing the government contracts practice, it’s given me a unique opportunity to help lead and grow the practice, which has already done an amazing job. I’m going to only enhance that effort.”
