Ed Seglias, Jason Copley, and Paul Thaler were quoted in Law360.
Cohen Seglias Pallas Greenhall & Furman PC announced Monday that it has inked a deal to acquire Thaler Liebeler LLP as it launches a new internal investigations practice and expands into Washington, D.C.
Cohen Seglias Vice President Edward Seglias said that the addition of a four-attorney team from Thaler Liebeler at the end of June would help to build on the experience of the firm’s existing government law and regulatory affairs group as it creates the new internal investigations practice.
Paul Thaler is set to become the new managing partner of Cohen Seglias’ Washington office when the merger becomes effective on June 29, the firm said,
“This is a very exciting addition to the firm and accelerates the development of our internal investigations group,” Seglias said. “With Paul, we expand the firm’s capabilities and reach into an important legal market.”
The firm said that the new group is set up to represent institutions and individuals in workplace investigations, Title IX inquiries, and probes into scientific and research misconduct.
