Edward Seglias has been named Secretary and General Counsel for the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), and George Pallas and Jason Copley will serve as Assistant General Counsel.
AISC, headquartered in Chicago, IL, is a non-partisan, not-for-profit technical institute and trade association established in 1921 to serve the structural steel design community and construction industry in the United States. AISC’s mission is to be the leader in structural-steel-related technical and market-building activities, including specification and code development, research, education, technical assistance, quality certification, standardization, market development, and advocacy.
“I am honored to serve AISC President Dr. Charles J. Carter and the AISC Board of Directors as Secretary and General Counsel,” said Seglias. “I look forward to working with the board members and leadership to address all of AISC’s legal issues, and to ensure the continued health and growth of the association,” said Seglias.

For more than 25 years, Seglias has concentrated his practice in construction law and commercial litigation. He has successfully tried dozens of construction cases in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions and more widely in California and Florida. Seglias has been ranked on the Pennsylvania Construction List by Chambers USA since 2015.
