New Cohen Seglias Leader On Taking Over Amid Growth Push
By: James Boyle
When Steven Williams joined Cohen Seglias Pallas Greenhall & Furman PC 15 years ago, leading the Philadelphia-based firm as managing partner was the furthest thing from his mind.
Williams initially wanted to focus solely on building his practice and serving his clients when he moved to Cohen Seglias in 2007 after nearly 16 years with Wix Wenger & Weidner. Two years later, however, he accepted a promotion to serve as managing partner of the firm’s Harrisburg office and as chair of the commercial litigation group.
It’s a trajectory that has continued throughout Williams’ tenure at Cohen Seglias, including his selection as the firm’s administrative partner in 2021, a role designed to provide support for the managing partner. In January, Williams will take the next step as he takes on the role of managing partner from George Pallas, who is completing his own transition to co-CEO alongside firm co-founder Ed Seglias.
