Cohen Seglias Promotes Commercial Litigator Alexander F. Barth to Partner
We are pleased to announce the promotion of associate Alexander F. Barth to the firm’s partnership, effective January 1, 2026.
“Alex is a respected member of the Philadelphia business community and a leader in our firm,” said Cohen Seglias Managing Partner Steven Williams. “We are proud of his accomplishments and his steadfast commitment to serving his clients, and we know he will enjoy continued success in this role.”
Barth is based in the firm’s Philadelphia office and focuses his practice on commercial litigation, representing businesses and individuals in complex commercial disputes involving real estate title issues, breach of contract claims, and “business divorce” matters. He also regularly works with commercial and residential real estate developers on land use and zoning matters throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. This includes working closely with elected officials, affected neighbors and neighborhood associations, the Philadelphia Historical Commission, Philadelphia Department of Licenses and Inspections, and the Philadelphia Planning Commission to obtain zoning, use, and building permits.
Barth is the immediate past-president and chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Real Property Section and is a member of the Pennsylvania Apartment Association and the Pennsylvania Manufactured Housing Association.
