Alex focuses his practice on commercial litigation and represents businesses and individuals in complex commercial disputes involving real estate title matters, breach of contract claims, “business divorce” litigation, as well as assisting both debtors and creditors in collection matters.
Commercial and residential real estate developers also rely on Alex in land use and zoning matters throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. This representation includes working closely with elected officials, affected neighbors and neighborhood associations, the Philadelphia Historical Commission, Philadelphia Department of Licenses and Inspections and the Philadelphia Planning Commission to obtain zoning, use and building permits. Alex is the immediate past-president and chairman of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Real Property Section.
Alex also represents redevelopment authorities and aggrieved landowners in eminent domain matters. He has successfully litigated matters in both state and federal courts and has represented clients before the Superior Court of Pennsylvania.
