Evan helps clients manage their business operations and resolve potentially expensive and disruptive disputes. His approach prioritizes problem solving, not litigating, and whether the issue involves a contract dispute, a statutory right, such as a mechanics’ lien, or an injury claim, Evan focuses on finding a creative and cost-effective solution for business owners. At the heart of his practice, Evan is a litigator for matters in which there are no alternatives and litigation becomes necessary, he aggressively advocates for his clients in bench and jury trials before New Jersey and Pennsylvania courts or as special counsel in other courts throughout the United States.
Evan has had a wide range of experience in over 30 years of practice, including contract matters, construction claims, construction defects, mechanics’ lien claims, commercial collections, injury claims, employment litigation, and mergers and acquisitions. Clients value the unique skill set Evan has developed and frequently trust him as a counselor for their businesses.
Commercial collection can cause unique issues for those in construction, including general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and other construction industry parties. Evan handles the collections process, ensuring clients receive payment and can proceed with their work. He advises all trades, most notably mechanical contractors, electrical contractors, site contractors, elevator contractors, as well as other specialized trade companies, on payment issues, often relying on contractual rights, prompt payment statutes, mechanics’ liens, and performance and payment bonds.
Other clients include businesses in manufacturing, food service and distribution, financial services, industrial equipment and property management. No matter the industry, Evan resolves disputes involving corporate or partnership dissolutions, breach of fiduciary duty, creditors’ rights, wrongful discharge, failure to pay and other actions that businesses encounter.
