Steve Toprani

Steve focuses his practice on construction law and commercial litigation. He draws on his background as a former C-suite executive and prosecutor to advise organizations on risk, compliance and governance; by assisting leadership in identifying vulnerabilities, conducting internal investigations, addressing regulatory and operational gaps and developing strategies that reduce liability and strengthen resilience.

Steve’s background includes working as a chief legal officer to an industry leading mechanical construction company serving the Mid-Atlantic region. He was responsible for all in-house litigation, including all commercial, construction and administrative (DEP/EPA, EHB, OSHA) claims and represented the corporation in all mediation, arbitration and trials.

With more than twenty years’ experience handling sensitive matters, Steve is known for strategic insight, discretion and a clear, practical approach to managing organizational risk and maintaining stakeholder trust.
