Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day 2025: Big Cases, Little Counsel

On April 24, Cohen Seglias hosted our annual Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day, welcoming a new crew of future professionals to our offices in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. Organized by Human Resources Director Monica Lavin, the day was filled with hands-on activities and plenty of laughter as kids explored life at the firm.

In Philadelphia, the highlight was a mock trial where the children served as counsel for SpongeBob and Patrick in a case against Squidward—played by James Sabia, with Daniel Schwartzman as SpongeBob and Mitchell Bluestein as Patrick. Judge John Greenhall presided over the proceedings, while attorneys Chental Bembry, Matthew Gioffre and Robert O’Brien helped organize and guide the trial.

After presenting their arguments, the group celebrated with a well-earned ice cream sundae party. Other highlights included a creative art project, a lively trivia game, and a visit to Rittenhouse Square. The day wrapped up with a showing of The Sandlot—a perfect ending to a fun-filled experience.
