Demand, Contracting Officer’s Decision
As noted below, there are no “magic words” required, but it is important for the contractor to make it clear that he is requesting, or demanding, a contracting officer’s final decision. It is recommended that every claim include, at the conclusion, a specific request for a contracting officer’s decision, even though the Dawco case has been overruled by the Reflectone decision.
