Government Estimate Note
Government Estimate Note
In preparing a claim, it is a good idea to obtain a copy of the government estimate in order to determine how the government’s pre-bid estimate compares to yours. If the government estimate is very close to the contractor’s estimate on items in dispute, it will be very difficult for the government to argue that the contractor’s bid was defective. The government estimate may be obtained under the Freedom of Information Act.
